Nice video still want to see game play action going on though. The voice acting for her is better than I thought it would end up. Still day one purchase, but GRRRR give me game play videos.

Didn't like the trailer, but i'm still buying this for the fun parts in metroid (shoot, SHOOT ), I hope the scenes could be skipped like halo.
This is not a good trailer. I want to see Samus kicking ass. Or at least Samus running down a corridor.
But I hold tha this trailer is not representative of the game, either, with parts of this pulled from different clips from throughout the game. We'll get a standard 2-3 minute intro before we begin to play.
I'm sure of it.
Sure of it.

Just rewatch the E3 trailer, then you'll be more than sure of it, you'll be certain.

That's not really representative either, I'm actually operating off of base assumptions.

Well didn't you watch the leaked intro? It wasn't that long. Having said that, I don't want it to be too extensively cutscene based. I'm sure they could work out the pacing. As I keep comparing it, they did cutscenes fine in Fusion, they could do them fine here, the only difference is variety and presentation. As long as the pacing is hit fine, the gameplay shouldn't be affected too much, and if Samus ditches the marines, then we can get isolation back. Actually if these cutscenes are like flashbacks then it will intensify this isolation. It seems like that is the case actually, as she mentions how "young" she was.
We get a brand new Metroid and people have a cry because they don't like the voice acting
If you don't like it, don't buy but also stop asking Nintendo for more 'hardcore' games because this is what you'll get.

Nah, I specifically didn't watch it.

Personally, I never asked for "hardcore" games, never will be. The reason while I'm still playing Nintendo games - they don't usually follow industrial standards, cliches used for making so called "AAA" games, in fact they in most cases create those standards which industry follows afterwards.
This one looks very "industrial"-like, but I'm not complaining about bad voice acting or redundant cutscenese which I don't want and don't care about merely for the reason I have a lot of confidence in Nintendo, they ussually don't disappoint with new instalments of their long-run franchises. So as long those cutscenes and voice acting don't bother me much while I'm playing, I'm ok.
Still waiting for actual gameplay footage, that's what I really care about.
Is it just me or is the skepticism growing..?
Metroid Fusion had 40 'cut scenes' (used loosely), but most were from 10 to 30 seconds long. But they never said "Metroid: Other M takes the best elements of 1st-person and 3rd-person gaming to create a seamless blend between gameplay, story-telling and dynamic cinematography, that feels like a movie the player can control" about Fusion.
A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
