Ok so I know some of you may still be sat on the sidelines feeling like you dare not take the risk to buy WKC right, well for a start let me just point out how horribly wrong the reviewer's are that gave this game low scores.
This reveiew may contain spoilers, so please so not read if you don't wan't spoilers
The Storyline
Okay so first of all yes the story is average, you play as Leonard a young man who acidently comes across the white knight arc when he is in the process of trying to rescue the Princess Cisna, unfornately, although you are able to save her life, she is kidnapped and then you venture on a quest to save her.
Now as part of the story, you also are in the process of discovering all about the white knight arc, and why Leonard has been chosen worthy to weild it's power, on the way to saving Cisna, you get to visit many beatiful locations, one of my favourite so far is the free city of greede, which is basically a massive city on the back of a monster (like in discworld lol).
From what I have played do far the story is not as bad as they say, whilst I know it end's on a cliffhanger, I just view it as building up to the next part of WKC. Parts of WKC even remind of things from FF, and also it has some really nice CGI scenes that make you gasp.
The Gameplay
Second, the battle system is nothig short of pure excellence, yes you can only control one character (but you can choose which one you control), but the way they have setup the system so you can have many abilities available to you by slot's is excellent, the battle is quite fast paced, and as long as you setup the other characters tactics correctly, you really will not struggle with the single player mode.
Some of the magic spells and combo's are very pretty and impressive, not to mention transforming into the white knight is quite impressive, the white knight also seems to gain more and more abilities as you progress in the game, suceeding to keep this game very fresh, and very addictive.
The Sound
To be honest the sound is above average, and whilst most of the music is very nice, it does have problems when it comes to some characters talking you may notice some synchronising problems, allthough this really did not put me off and I am still enjoying the game despite that fact.
The Presentation
The presentation is way above average, whilst it does not demonstrate some of the best graphics ever, you will still be wowed by some events that happen in WKC, like the white knight transformation, the spells, and some of the locations are really inspired, it is everything you basically expect to see in a Fantasy adventure, and I love it!!
Value
Well so far the WKC feels huge, the areas you explore are wide open, and you can easily feel overwhelmed by it's size, it has plenty of towns and interaction, whilst the single player quest feels really easy, when you finally go online there is so much more to do and it is so much harder, there are 50 quests (i think), and you can play with up to four people online.
The online play is really fun, and I had a great laugh with my friends the other night, I can easily see GeoNet becoming my main addiction at this rate, when you complete a quest you also obtain items which you can use in the single player mode as well, so this game can be very rewarding.
Final Score's
Story: 7/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Sound: 8/10
Presentation: 8/10
Value: 9/10
Overall : 42/50 = 8.4/10
