Well, it happened to me. I played Super Smash Bros on N64 and thought it would be ranked in the high 90s.... and then discover it was about 76. Did it ever happen to you to play a game (you found great) you thought was ranked AAA by critics and then discover it was a major fail?
Yes, this happened to me in a similar case except the exact opposite.
I bought Metal Gear Solid 2 thinking it was going to be AAA, like the reviews, but I thought it sucked.
But for some reason every game I buy is usually critically acclaimed.

same here. In fact, it started with the Wii. I'm just looking for AAA games now. In the SNES era, it didn't matter if the game was fun. I should change my mentality.
