Forums - General - I'm picking up the ol' homestead and moving to Minneapolis.

I know a few of you live there. What fun things are there to do in that town? I'm eagerly anticipating seeing Target Field open up and I've already been to the Walker but haven't done much there other than that (past getting sick this weekend after teaching my niece to snowboard at Buck Hill).

Am I thinking of someone else, or do you move a lot?

I've been roaming around a lot the past two years trying to decide where I want to settle. I decided Minneapolis is a nice choice.

Lots of great places to eat, and fishing is huge up here. Ice fishing in the winter, and fishing in the summer.

Shopping is popular here as well. If you like football, and Favre comes back, they have a good shot at the superbowl. Good baseball team too. Basketball sucks.

get ready for some terrible basketball :)

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I run a small Twins website so I'm quite familiar with the baseball team. :)

And I'm a Packers fan so the Vikings will never get much love from me.

I can't stand fishing.

I'm just looking forward to getting back to civilization (and sushi restaurants). Any recommendations?

Thankfully, the only NBA team I can stand watching is the Lakers so how badly the Wolves suck doesn't matter to me one bit.

pretty lame you didnt move there 40 years ago when the lakers were there.

also twins fan eh? gotta be aggravating last few years, they have lost SO MUCH talent and not brought much back in

its a testament to their management team to be competitive year after year

if they lose morneau you better go burn down the stadium now that you live there

Not a sushi fan, but I hear theres some great stuff.

I do like great food though. What part of town are you moving too, and what price range of a restaurant are you interested in?
