I'd say the best case would be the PS3 constantly being a day behind, although that's probably too optimistic

Just create a new PS3 acount and play till this is all sorted out.
If it resets to 12/31/1999 does that mean it won't effect us who have our date formats as DD/MM/YYYY? I haven't had my Phat on since yesterday so wondering whether to switch mine on today or wait a while and see what the solution is.

makes me think that they had an inkling something like this would happen so they changed the system in the new ones. Seems like a strange thing to change in the new ones otherwise. And the fact that it hasnt affected all of them would kind of make sense why they didnt fix the patch entirely, they prob didnt think it was as widespread... BLAME KOTAKU for bringing this to the masses it looks like lol

My borderlands 72% shows up there so its synced and accurate, but its gone form my system. MakingMusic is right, if its synced and saved the next time we sync the console it should show up fine if its on the website. |
My GOW Collection trophies were just showing on my PS3, now they are gone. They don't even show on the playstation.com site, so I'm not as lucky as you then =/

Negative. It has already reached Aus, in fact we were on one of the first ones hit, thanks to the time line. Hence Kotaku is where i first learned of it. Kinda happy my ps3 isnt on :)
oh shitake im looking at some peoples PSN cards and there are no trophy stats on them...
CURRENTLY PLAYING: Warframe, Witcher 2

I don't understand why you guys think you will lose trophies. They are all saved server-side on PSN servers. This is a client problem. If the trophy file on your PS3 gets corrupted, who cares? It'll resync the next time you are able to connect to the PSN and everything will be fine. Stop whining.

Oh well then, we woulda been the first first to get it since we are even closer to the date line. I just hope if I leave off turning on the PS3 for another day all will be fine and the PS3 won't through a hissy when it figures out it's 2/3/2010 (only 2 hrs away). Dang and I was planning to finally start playing Uncharted 2 tonight. Oh well, what's one more day?
