How strange. I've just joined this forum (hi all) purely because i googled this problem and you guys came up first.

I was on Heavy Rain, came off for dinner but the ps3 bleeped and then shut down. When I came back to it a few hours later, it sent an error report then signed me out. Heavy Rain's trophies have gone, I deleted the update but then it just makes you redownload it again, which is fine, but then it wont register the trophies so that was that. So I popped on Peggle which then told me I hadn't bought the full game - so I guess the internal clock may well be the problem as of course its been downloaded yet if the ps3 thinks its 2000. I've moved the clock and date back to today but its made no difference. My xmb themes are corrupted too.

Doesn't it suck when it all goes a bit PC crash for a console? A shame - I'd set myself up for a great night of snacks, drink and heavy rain followed by sonic and sega all stars :(

Looks like the PSN website is working again, did Sony finally fix their issues?

PSN was having unscheduled work done on it tonight, which is causing the problems for everyone. Including some games offline

Theres something very wrong, I was connected to PSN without any problem. All games were working. After reading this thread I decided to log off of PSN to see if I could lock back on. So well, I did log off, I wasnt able to log back, and the last game I was playing plus all PSN titles are not working even when the eternet cable is unconnect. Its very wrong, because no its not their server, I was connected to PSN 1 minute before and voluntarily disconnnect. It seems to me that someone may have been able to hack them and send some kind of keys to our PS3 that now prevent to log back or access our files.

SonyPlayStation is the name and just type twitter, they say they are aware of the problem and are looking into it and to check back for updates.

Also I had a couple of friends connected when I decided to disconnect. Server problem should force disconnect you normally.

But that's how it works. If you are connected before the error happens you can stay connected, but if you log out and go back on the error will start. It's weird but it happens.

Does anybody know why the PlayStation forums are really messed up looking? I see all kinds of errors on the page.
