Ah Gansito, always with a positive note. If the Wi were $150, you'd just tell him to wait until it's $100, haha.
As to the Wii being out of stock, it's not a "still", it's an "again" after they sold a record breaking 3.8 million colsoles last December. Reggie said this may last till around end March. Amazon do get a new stock from time to time, as do some others.

I don't know. The wii's library is one that isn't worth missing. Though you could afully ignore it also. I say it all depends on how many games you plan to get and how you use it. Because you could use the money to get more games.
I guess I won't be getting a Wii for a while. Until I can actually snag one when they're in stock again.
@Mr Kahn: There should be benefits to being a late adopter, such as lower game prices. Nintendo's strategy of keeping game prices the same simply means I buy less older Nintendo games. I'm not paying $50 for any game that's been out for months let alone years and isn't particularly rare/hard to find.
I find it crazy that someone who buys a Wii at the end the generation may have to pay full retail for games that are 4-5 years old. I know why Nintendo does it, but the lack of lower prices for older games means I'm not buying unless I can get it used cheaply.

Its not because they're selling good. Nintendo games always retail for full price no matter what. Every other game that sells good on the Wii goes down in price eventually (that isn't a Nintendo title). Its just silly, but whatever. |
Nintendo have told us the reason many times. If you are like any other publisher and you make a habit of dropping the price of all of your games, then people will begin to anticipate this, and never buy full price games.
Anyway, 2010 will be the biggest year for the Wii in terms of lineup

This is such BS. Tons of people buy games for full retail price even though they will drop in price over time (every game except Nintendo games and COD titles, though COD titles actually go on sale). Some people are not willing to pay $50-$60 for every game that comes out and Nintendo thinks they are exempt from this. Honestly, their strategy is to stop making games that aren't selling well anymore rather than permanently lower the price. It's a bit annoying especially if you bought your Nintendo console well after some of these games came out.

I love how scottie always argues in favor of nintendo, rather than the customer. Maybe he owns stock.

Its funny when people forget that the point in business is to make money not give customers free things
I personally don't think the Wii is worth the money yet. I got one for free from a friend and I hardly ever use it. Not a bad console, but it just lacks games that I enjoy.
