Right...

Well, the Classic Controller Pro is the only topic which is clearly obvious a copy. However, as Sony has copied Nintendo for the last, erm... 15 years, they're going to get even this time, and the Pro version is just a tiny piece of what they have the right to.

Well......

Which then Nintendo worked with Sony to make a disc based SNES system

Which when Sony wanted the royalties to the disc based format Nintendo made the N64, so that controller is closer to the one Nintendo/Sony developed and then N64 showed off analog and rumble technology

And then you suddenly have a change on the Sony side, adding TWO analog sticks and rumble.

And so the dualshock is born :P

Holy crap!!!

Look at all of those pictures!!!

Masterful writing!!!  *wipes tear from cheek*

Well that's how I roll *puts on shades*

this thread is very entertaining!keep commenting guys :P

This is a serious thread about serious stuff like Nintendo and remote and stuff plus other stuff.

Now I'm starting to feel guilty...Maybe my brain is too limited to comprehend the depth of the discussion.Forgive me people.

I think I'm gonna go and commit seppuku now. ;P

Nah, It's alright. I think Max just received GOW3 review copy and just making sure he gives us a good laugh before the meltdown he will bring from the 8.5 he's going to give the game.

I don't think the site could stand a 8.5 for that game lol

Really, http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=13394, says otherwise.

With all due respect the 2 games aren't anywhere near each other in hype and expectation, at least imo

recheck your history. dualshock did not come from n64 inspiration. Dualshock was actually explained and demonstrated and patented before the n64 controller. N64 controller just came out first. Well, people praise Nintendo all the time for showing things one or two months before release. Guess they should've shown their controller earlier.

EDIT: not going to bother with a link. You can easily google it.

EDIT2: I knew the OP was a joke, but I didn't know everything else in the thread was a joke.

I highly doubt what you are saying. Between the first PS1 controller and the Dualshock there was another official one which featured analog sticks, but no rumble.

The reason why you aren't going to bother with a link is either because no such thing exists or because it can be easily proven to be incorrect.

Rol, you are great at spotting technicalities aren't you lol.

I should then make a correction. "The Dual Analog was not born from N64 inspiration." The rumble may have been....because there was about a year in between the two.. so, technically, the complete dualshock did come, in part, from the n64 rumble pack. However, and I quote "adding TWO analog sticks...", Maxwell was implying that the dual analog AND rumble were ripped off from Nintendo. In that argument, he is wrong. But yes, Sony probably ripped off rumble.

Lol says the guy thats talking about a technicality (that they've yet to prove)

My point being that the dualshock is an evolution of designs from both companies... not who had patents when, nor do I care, when they came out is my point, and you can't change the timeline...

[sarcasm] I love how Nintendo are the originators of absolutely everything. [/sarcasm]

On a side note, who cares?  We're on gamers, quit being fanboys and move on.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.
