New Valkyria Chronicles DLC Only Has Japanese Voice Acting

Did you download the Valkyria Chronicles pack today and wonder why there wasn’t voice acting during bits of dialogue? That’s because the Challenge of the Edy pack doesn’t have English voice acting.

If you want audio switch your language setting to Japanese. It’s that or the sound of silence.

Sega created the Challenge of Edy pack half a year after Valkyria Chronicles launched in North America. The time lag may prevented Sega from getting the cast to reprise their roles. That’s a possible explanation, not an official one. Whatever the case is, it might have been nice to hear about this before the content went live for people who prefer the English dub.

Can you say Epic Fail? I knew you could. Luckily for me I despise Edy and wasn't going to pick this up anyway. Sucks for anyone else though.

I don't have it yet. I have played the whole game with Japanese anyway, so this is no problem for me.

Not problem for me because I always choose Japanese VA anyway .

a game from Japan without Japanese voice acting is like a day without sunshine. Japanese voice made Star Ocean sooo much better on PS3 than 360, peeps with a 360 copy, were still buying the International version

This is an' issue, i loved the VC dub, its my 2nd fave' game with english work this gen imo.

I hate Edy too, and I don't get why she got so popular. Fortunately, you're not forced to use her (or anyone in the Edy detachment), and she only appears in two out of the six mission briefings.

I was disappointed about no English VAs. I prefer it over Japanese VAs.

i loved the english issue, but im a sucker for Valkyria so i'll probably get it, damnit lazy devs!

I'm totally with you there. I used Edy once in the main game and that was it. Eika was my girl. They shoulda made some Eika DLC.
