Anyway it was a good piece. It was interesting to read and it drew you on to the next part. Very professional too. If I didn't know any better it could easily have been a piece from pretty much any reputable source for gaming.

Thanks for the compliment. I was in a fits over this because I hadn't written an editorial in nearly two years and I kept drafting it again, then deleting the new material, writing new material, deleting that, etc. I only wrapped it up because I came up with an idea for my next piece and wanted to dedicate more thought to that.

Some people can only work if they have too much work on the table. Are you one of them?

I'm ridiculously tangential. Once I start something, my train of thought will lead to something else and I have to wrap up the first piece or I'll completely drift into the new piece and start the cycle over again.

I agree, decisions and consequences are the crucial RPG elements that are missing from so many video games that bear the RPG label.

I'm hoping that much-rumoured PS3 port of ME2 comes around.

While ME2 on PS3 would be great for PS3 owners, you're only getting part of the game if you don't play the first installment and import the save. It's THAT important to how emotionally involved you become within the universe.

Really, if you want to feel the full weight of the series, beg/borrow/steal a 360 or PC.
