Personally, I think it is marketing Microsoft is always spending big money on advertising something so I have noticed they tend to drop in some products from time to time. I used to think there was a shooter bias on 360 and for the mosst part that is still true FPS always sell better on 360, but since the 360 is still outselling the PS3 on other multiplat genres maybe it is something else perceived better multiplayer, exclusive dlc or something else? You tell me.


There are 16 games in the top50 on PS3 and 12 on Xbox 360.

1 = heavy Rain
2 = MAG
3 = RE5 because of Japanese relaunch.
4 = Star Ocean

There are 4 games older than 6 months. GTA IV, RE5 (relaunch), White Knight Chronicles (western release) and Madden 10, which still sold more on the 360.

And 360 has mass effect and tropico.

Your right there are 12 games on the 360 in the top 50 chart but 2 of the are console add ons, so in reality the number is 16-10.
