Well, in my opinion the xbl still is quite a bit ahead, especially because it's possible to log into your own account when playing as player 2/3/4 on a friend's console.That's a very cool feature.
i own both consoles and yes its pretty much the same except party chat on live but i still play on ps3 more and i shop on the psn store much more than live plus all the cool backrounds or themes i buy are actually displayed full screen on ps3 not like the massive boxes that get in the way on 360.
ps store is just awesome plus home is pretty rad, it really just comes down to which one you play on more.
@flowjo
the new interface has destroyed the themes unfortunately
i was a big fan of em in the old blades
Having both services, i don't see how anyone can say they are on equal footing. XBL just gives a more streamlined experience all throughout. As for DLC, he's got a really valid point, but i think in the case of GTA Episodes of Liberty City, since Rockstar made it a DVD also, they sold more, to people who just want a physical medium. Hard drive space, or not.

I love the Zune marketplace and downloaded / streamed 3 movies already in 2010, well I will watch inglorious bastards tomorrow, so make it a 4.
1080p instant streaming is fantastic. I wonder if Sony will ever do something like this. Is there another way to include 1080p streaming than using silverlight?
I think MS bet on the right horse to push Video on Demand so hard. I would love to see some numbers like total revenue, market share etc.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
I prefer Live, but have not had a reason to use PSN much. I will say, however, that my experience with Netflix has been much, much better on the 360. I don't mind using the disk, but the PS3 interface seems clunky and I have had constant problems with interrupted playback.
@dirtyp2002
you realize your paying like 8 dollars to rent a movie for 24 hours there is better services out there.
and its not true 1080p nor is the sound uncompressed, i rented like one movie off it then i fell asleep went to work the next day came home and i no longer had the movie.
i just bought hurt locker , moon and ponyo on bluray from amazon wicked prices now i have them for life, im never putting another cent into that zune service ever again and im sure im not the only one.
rocketpig said: To this day, the thing that still irks me most about the PSN is the lack of an included microphone. There are still too many silent gamers online. Other than that, Sony has done a hell of a job improving the service... but I'll never, EVER understand the point of Home. |
Best Part!
The kiddies dont have mics because their parents wont buy them one and most of the people who DO have mics are adults or close to who bought a mic to enhance their experience not to call people fags and say they banged your grama through a window.

No.
Excluding PSP numbers......still no
