Sony Ericsson Aino: The closest to a PS Phone available

President of Sony Ericsson, Bert Nordberg, has given a huge hint that a PSP Phone is in-fact on the way.

Speculation has come and gone in the past couple of years regarding a PlayStation phone, but nothing - as yet - has been announced. But Nordberg has admitted that we can 'expect to hear more' about it.

"We missed the window for high-end and touchscreen devices big time," he said in an interview with Mobile World Congress' Show Daily (Monday issue). "Part of the recovery will be much better design and closer work with our partner Sony... In the past there was no tie-up between us, the PSP platform and Sony, but you can expect to hear much more about that."

So there you have it. It looks like some sort of PlayStation Phone is in the works. Whether we'll see or hear anything about it at E3, or even GDC next month is unknown, but we'll bring you the updates.

Sony Ericsson has really lost touch wih their consumer base which is sad but sooo many people have always thought of a PSP phone even before Iphone came out. I'm not sure why it's taken this long for it to happen but I'm glad they're finally trying to revive their dead phones.

When my phone was lost I used PSP skype to call people, It didn't work amazingly but I think a phone with game control buttons and a XMB that lists contacts and other things on it would be a great idea.

Does it work on Windows Mobile 7? Can I log into both Live and PSN at the same time? I think yes!

Meh, I'm getting an Aino in May regardless.

Well that's pretty much confirmation it's in the works for me.

Pretty sure this is a repost

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

Microsoft did mention you can log into PSN on Windows 7 with a Sony Ericsson phone though...

I've got a Sony Ericsson phone and love it.

About time they develop a PSPhone though. It's very logical.
