1. God of War. Enough said.
2. They know how to push a system.
God of War II on the PS2 was undoubtedly the best looking PS2 game ever made. God of War II from the Collection looks good enough to be an early PS360 gen game. Looks like they are going to continue their habit of making beautiful games with God of War III which some critics have already called "Best graphics EVER".
3. They support Indie devs.
Flow,Flower, PixelJunk Eden as I have noticed, were produced by SCE Santa Monica. There might be more games they have produced, but thats all I know of. For a BIG studio like them to support people like Q-Games and thatgamecompany is awesome imo.
4. Helping other studios.
SCE Santa Monica have helped people like Guerilla Games, Naughty Dog, Insomniac with their games. Most significantly, they helped Incognito Entertainment a great deal to develop Warhawk.
5. No Trash talk.
Stig Asmussen had nice things to say about the competition such as Bayonetta, DMC, Ninja Gaiden and even the "could have been special" Dante's Inferno (even though it is more than just "inspired" by God of War). They didnt go ahead and say "Loooooolz... God of War is sooo much better than all that.." even he could have since God of War is the king of the genre, as reviews and fan reactions suggest. Take note Turn 10 and EA (with their BFBC2 >>> MW2 talk)..
