its just fanboys voting the game down. just look at little big planet that was one of the most criticaly aclaimed games of the entire of 2008 and yet that got a terible user score. it just fanboys of the oposite consol being jelous that they dont have the game and we do

I don't yet have a PS3 so I won't be paying this anytime soon, but the disparity in scores between published critics and users does smack of 360 fanboys voting it down. We've seen this before. Expect a backlash for Alan Wake and Halo: Reach from the PS3 fanboys.

Yep, the User scores should be treated as the lower the score the better the game. Any exclusives under 7 with over 150 reviews is bound to be a classic...

Don't be bothered by the user score. I am getting the game from GameFly probably today.

Well it definitely deserves about 9 for its innovativeness like the wii fit.

And its a user score, which probably some fanboy done that.

This whole "some people might not like the game" excuse is wearing thin. Just because a person doesn't like a game or it just doesn't appeal to that person doesn't mean it deservea a low score. A game can be of high quality that doesn't appeal to a certain person because not one quality game appeals to everyone. And I'm sure some might think that the quality of Heavy Rain is subpar. But in general, I seriously doubt this is the context being discussed here.
