Napoleon came out today. It's $40 and I'll be damned if I pay $40 for an expansion pack. However it does have campaign multiplayer, not just battles, and that almost makes me buy it. If it was $30 I probably would have gotten it.

not getting it soon... I got lured to the Total War mega pack and have about 300 hours of total war to play before even considering this :p

Is this an expansion for Empire?

AHHHH!!!! I hate myself for no having a good computer! I can play Medieval 2, but I've missed out on Empire Total war and now this...
As soon as I've earned enough money to get a new computer I will get every piece of Total war awsomeness I've missed no matter the cost. Until then...I will cry.

It's a stand alone. However it adds very little to Empire: Total War. It's a stand alone expansion.

damn thas crazy. Creative Assembly is really nickel and diming ever since Empire. With all these mini 10 dollar updates, and little unit packs. And now a 40 dollar expansion pack

Tell me about it. I haven't paid a single dime for any DLC ever, and it's not about to change,

At least I only jumped into this game when it was ~$10 on Steam recently. I'm not a big fan of nickel and diming DLC either.

With that said, I'm still trying to wrap my head around playing Empire vs playing Medieval 2 and Rome. I'm not that interested in picking this up especially since I've never played a Total War game in multiplayer and I can't really see that changing anytime soon.

I think it was funny that they're giving a copy of Medieval 2 if you paid $10 more. if I buy a Total War game near the launch of another one, it would take months before I'd touch the second one.

They're ripping people off by making extra content for their game? And Napoleon is not an expansion.
