Forums - General - What city do you live in, and do you like/dislike about it?

This is Glasgow, Scotland..

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=g4+0xg&sll=55.869258,-4.24667&sspn=0.011991,0.038581&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Glasgow,+Lanarkshire+G4+0XG,+United+Kingdom&ll=55.868762,-4.231796&spn=0.191865,0.617294&t=h&z=11

Good: loads of amazing shops, local supermarkets, the people are shockingly friendly, good universities, tallest cinema in the world.

Bad: i don't like shopping , there are over a million people here, there is nowhere to escape to when I want away from all the bustle, no castle, no hills. no NATURE

Compare to my hometown just outside Edinburgh.

London, UK

Likes: the night life, almost everything i need in my area, the girls.

Dislikes: the weather, almost every Londoner is unfriendly, Public transport (too crowded), crime, cost of living, the traffic.

seems like the cons out-weight the pros, still i wouldn't trade it for any other city to live in.

FACT!

York UK

Likes: pretty much everything, good university (20th in world) really pretty place, low crime rates, a very English feel to the place. Its also no where near London which is a big positive considering the crime and general superiority Londerners seem to have over people in the North.

Dislikes: Its near Leeds, its near Hull, High house prices compared to everywhere else in the North, way to many Chinese students. Im not being racist but i have communication difficulties with some of them. Its just a matter of time untill a China town develops. Its also a dissapointment that liverpool FC don't play in York but what can you do?

Birmingham, UK...

Likes: It's not London.

Dislikes: Only 100 miles away from London, still too close...

I'm sure lot's of people will be able to add more *Looks at SamuelRSmith*

Im not suprised. Personally i wouldn't want to talk to someone from London because i know there would be a ~1/30 chance they would be a Millwall fan. This would be to great a *risk* to take

I value my life to highly...*begins to cry*

Uk, London

Likes: It's London, great transport, near to everything I need and like, for a change I love the volatile weather

Dislikes: CHAV's, could be pretty dangerous (depends what your doing), not really social and reserved

I live in East Nicolaus, California its a small town that was taken off the Map back in '92.

Likes: Its a quiet country town, back in High School my friends and I would just wonder the empty fields, it is very relaxing.

Dislikes: If you can't drive there isn't much to do. The closets city is 30 miles away and we don't have anything for entertainment
