Forums - General - What city do you live in, and do you like/dislike about it?

London, UK

Likes: the night life, almost everything i need in my area, the girls.

Dislikes: the weather, almost every Londoner is unfriendly, Public transport (too crowded), crime, cost of living, the traffic.

seems like the cons out-weight the pros, still i wouldn't trade it for any other city to live in.

What's wrong with "The French"?

You mean the language or the people?

The people, more specifically the "seperatist" people.

And the rude French people who when they see my last name (It is a french last name, very very french) and they try to speak french to me and I say no, I speak english and they get all rude with you :P

We're not all sovereigntists and rude lol

I thought Alexandre Bilodeau was pretty rude when the national anthem played and he didn't take off his toque.  Though in all fairness he was probably overwelmed by the experience he forgot he had it on.

But no - I agree you are not all rude, in fact played a MUD way back when with a girl from Montreal who was cool as can be and nice.

One thing I will say though, is Quebec has some hot looking girls :)

(And I hear the "adult clubs" are pretty crazy)

Burnsville, MN

Likes: Quiet. Everything is only a few blocks away. Cheap rent for a nice apartment.

Dislikes: Cold. People can't drive for shit. Cops follow me and/or pull me over every other month. No decent restaurants unless I go into the Bloomington area or South Minneapolis in which case I get followed and/or pulled over by cops even more frequently.

Why do you get pulled over so much...?

Because they make a lot of stereotypical assumptions.......

EDIT: And they're jealous of my Awesomeness.

Based on your "about me" I can guess why now :P

However, I won't say what I am thinking as that would be sterotypical :)

Like: The food, the people, the sports, the size of the place (too big to be a town but small enough to not be overcrowded)

Dislike: Hurricanes and Louisiana Politics

Sankt Georgen... not really a city, just a little group of houses... with 72 people living there

+ has a bar, beautiful countryside

- has no food store and no electronics store

Nottingham, UK

Like: It's not a big city (I can cycle for 10 minutes and be out of it while London takes 1 hr and you are still in the city), i have a few friends here. Decent bars.

Dislikes: My best friend left last year, my girlfriend (well see recent 'are you in love' thread for that), it's generally a crap hole, too many chavs, smells like all cities do. None of my family live anywhere near, infct I'd say the only thing keeping me here at the moment is my job, which is shit anyway but I have it.

Hmm, pie.
