How silly. you quote averages of metacritic to prove my opinions wrong? I said 85 for killzone 2... average is 91...there will be reviews on there much lover than 85... just stop. Dont people realise how silly it is to say "I think a game is worth 9/10 therefore any review lower than 8 is not a worthwhile review"... thats how it has been here recently.

Does it matter?, you ask while you keep on answering. The site gave infamous a 6, shit score. It doesnt matter to me i loved it but if i only had that review to go on, i wouldnt have brought the game.
assumption is the mother of all f**k ups
First WKC now Heavy Rain?
This is why i don't give a rats ass about Metacritic or any other so called highly logical reviewing sites, its like ... if there opinion on games are bad, it means everyone else should feel the same... i nearly fell for that with the WKC one but got my senses snapped back when i realized how stupid it was.
Time to start a boycott against interwebz reviews.

Maybe the reviewer wants to play a videogame and not watch a movie and every once in awhile push a button.

Hmmm. Was that a random comment or are you implying that Heavy Rain is watching a movie and pushing a button once in a while?
If the former is true then... yes maybe the reviewer does want to play a videogame. Good talk!
If it's the latter then... I kind of don't want to respond because you obviously haven't played the game or even have a clue what it's about.
If this was a joke then... LMFAO!!!

I personally agree with mhsillen. I played through the demo and felt like what I did was akin to watching a DVD and having to press buttons on the remote constantly just to keep the movie going. Which, they developer does say it's an interactive movie. I am very on the fence for this game, I'm not sure if I want to get it or not. I like the graphics, the story may be quite good. But, there are plenty of thrillers I can watch without tedious button pushing on the remote. I don't know. I'm still intrigued though.

But see that's not what it is at all. The whole point of the game is that the player shapes the story. Every action and decision you make affects the path the story takes in either small or large ways. You don't just accomplish goals to make the story progress on a linear path. (Which, by the way, is more than I can say for most "true" video games.) I love movies but Heavy Rain engrosses you in the story in a way that no movie can. Like it or not, it is so much more than just QTE's that I just can't understand how anyone can see it as just pushing buttons.
However, I respect your opinion and understand that everyone has different tastes. To each his own I guess.

Well, that's the thing. From the couple reviews I've read, there doesn't appear to be much that is affected by your interaction. I hope that's wrong, because I'd be much more interested in the game. Like I said, I'm really wavering on whether or not to get Heavy Rain. I'm not sure if I'll enjoy it or not. From the demo, I'm afraid it'll get tedious. But, if your guiding the story really does make a significant difference in how it progresses, then I'd very much like to get it.

halil23, not everyone gets all sensitive when a game they like is not liked by everyone.

Why should a review score be anywhere near the average? Surely personal opinion means there will be deviations? Shouldn't we embrace differing opinions of big releases, rather than attacking them? Isn't it better to have different opinions and reactions to a big release rather than "ZOMG GREATEST GAME EVAR" every time the next big blockbuster comes out? If you look at the reviews for Avatar, film critics have rated it from 50 to 100, resulting in an average of 84. Why can't there be a similar range of opinion and reaction in the games industry?
