Forums - Nintendo - Do any of you go by Nintendo Channel's Recommendations on Wii?

Lo bluds.

I recently bought two Wiiware games  because they came highly recommended by the Nintendo Channel on the Wii - of course I looked into them a bit online before I bought them but they were never really on my radar until I saw them recommended (both silver, and I'm in the EU).

The two games?

Tomena Sanner

Swords and Soldiers

Tomena Sanner is insanely addictive and fun - I spent about 2 hours on just the first level trying to get a better score.

Swords and Soldiers has surprising depth for a flat-2D style strategy game, and it just rocks my socks and is hilarious to boot.

Have any of you looked into buying a game you saw on the Recommend list? I really rate the system in general, except that the way you have to go about recommending DS games is horrible. :P

Around the Network

Well, it's all users that have played the game for an hour at least, so it's a fairly good metric. Niche core games will get an edge, but that's about it.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Niche core games definitely get higher than average scores. Never used it myself. Always forget about it. Good idea to check WW games there though, most don't get reviewed much.

Iv paroused it, but havent factored the scores into my purchas desicisions
