Something i never thought i would be saying... Have only ever owned nintendo consoles. Ive owned a Wii since launch, and not too long after that got a gaming PC. Since getting the PC, ive kinda gotten more into shooters and "mature" games... And the Wii really doesnt have a good library of those so for my 18th in a few weeks im getting a PS3! I found a good deal of a 250gb slim with playTV for cheaper then the rrp of the 250gb on its own. Ill still have the Wii for Zelda Wii and other nintendo made games but the PS3 will be my main console...

It wasnt too hard to decide between PS3 and 360. 360 shares a lot of exclusives with PC, i dont wanna pay for online, the PS3 does blu-ray, PS3 has GT5 coming out eventually which im really keen for. so...

Is the HDMI cable worth getting if i dont have a HD tv?

My favourite games on PC are bioshock, the half-lifes, tf2, left 4 dead. Apart from Fifa 10 i havent decided on what games to get yet, so recommend me :D

i recommend uncharted 2, god of war collection, god of war 3, heavy rain, metal gear solid 4, uncharted 1, ratchet and clank 1 and 2, gran turismo 5, resistance 1 and 2, killzone, infamous, and heavenly sword, and mag. there are more but those are the best of all (exclusives)

i would just buy uncharted 2 unless you plan on borrowing it forever because once you start the online, you wont want to stop.

they used to say that the online is so good that they(naughty dog) "could have sold the online seperatly for another 60 dollars and it would still be worth buying."

and with all the new downloadable content thats been released for the game its even more worth it.

its also been anounced that more maps and characters will be released in the next month.

If you have a receiver somewhere in your home theatre setup and it is going to your TV then an HD cable would be fine HD out to your receiver then Composite/Coax to your TV (which would already be there) then you would also benefit from the surround sound :)

Also based on the games that you like, I can't believe Demon's Souls wasn't mentioned... Best game this gen so far for me :)

Also Little Big planet is a blast, even if you are younger, or have friends over. I never get tired of b**ch-slapping my friends.

little big planet is perfect if your a fan of the wii i highly recommend it.

demons souls is very good to but i will warn you as of right now that its the hardest game in the world (that i've ever played)

and you might get frustrated at times but its really fun and if you get stuck often i recommend playing online for tips and clues from other players. i also recommend it very much.
