Forums - Sony Discussion - Prioritising game purchases

So I have a small laundry list of games I want to buy / play, and I'm wondering how to put them in order of priority. There has to be a bit of a hype vs price factor taken into consideration. And there is an ever diminishing amount of leisure time I can devote to gaming, so I have to maximise quality as well.

Here's the list in what I think is a reasonable order of priority. For most titles I'm waiting for a price drop to below NZ$100, and in some cases a drop to below NZ$75. I'm certainly not a day 1 buyer.

What do you think is the best order of priority?

1. Uncharted 2 Oops just caved in and got this today, a bit higher price than I had planned, but I couldn't hold out any longer.

2. R&C: Quest for Booty (relatively cheap and would prefer to play before ACiT)

3. R&C: A Crack in Time

4. Demon’s Souls (Will have to import, can get it off Play Asia for substantially less than the price of new release games here)

5. Dragon Age: Origins (Does console version have online co-op?)

6. Darksiders

7. God of War III (main reason it's not further up the list is because it will be the last one to drop in price)

8. Heavy Rain

9. Trine

10. Braid

11. Dante’s Inferno

12. MGS4 (I'm guessing a lot of you will yell at me for having this at #12 and below Dante's Inferno to boot, hmmm perhaps I should bump it up a few places considering it's platinum and pretty affordable. I do want to play all the above games more, but perhaps this game will help soak up some time while I wait on the others to fall into buying range)

13. Blue Toad Murder Files (Not available here yet)

14. Fallout 3 (You can play this in 3rd person right? Would be less interested if it was a FPS RPG)

15. Mushroom Wars (Demo is fun)

16. FlOw (woulda got it if it was free here, but got Flower for cheap instead, I'm really liking Flower)

17. Brutal Legend (on sale for NZ$29 (US$20) at the moment, should I ramp this up the priority list on the basis of it's cheapness?)

18. Age of Booty (I got the demo and it's quite fun, incl with local co-op)

Edit: Forgot to ask. What's your personal priority list for games? I'm interested to see if there are other games I need to give serious consideration to putting them in.

Also if I get around to upgrading my PC, I'll put Mass Effect 2 into the priority list, but is it best played with a console type controller (I don't have one for PC at the moment) or does KB+M work OK with it?

I wouldnt call that list small O_O

OT: You should definitely consider getting FF XIII, my list has the aforementioned along with GOW3 and Yakuza 3....

I would go with:
Demon's Souls
Fallout 3 (you can play in 3rd person, but trust me you don't wanna, reminds me of Oblivion in 3rd, or maybe I am thinking of Oblivion...)
MGS4
R&C: A Crack in Time

The rest, meh.. or the game isn't out yet so really can't give a good opinion (GoW3/Heavy Rain - but have them both preordered )

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

you should buy heavy rain before you hear spoilers
base on the demo and reviews, the game will be fun to play

get rid of dante's inferno for your own sake.

You should definitely buy Fallout 3, and make sure it's the GOTY edition(full game+all DLC expansions), to be exact.

And yes, you can play this in 3rd person, as well as first person.

I would definitely buy Quest for Booty, if only so you can play ACiT (because ACiT is aaaaaaweeeeeeesoooooooooomeeeeeee!)

Fallout 3 in 3rd person = horrible.

Buy the best game --the game that you want to play the most. I promise you, buying a good/decent game is no substitute for buying a great game that you love at full price. I have a ton of "Good" games that I bought for $5. Even at that price, they still sit on the shelf.

With that said, for me, I'm getting Heavy Rain. I already have everything else that I want. I'll buy FF13 and God of War as they come out so it's really just a matter of release date.

Demon's Souls & MGS4. These games will keep you addicted.
