This isn't even going to be close, with the amount of sony fans on this site. Since these are exclusive, it's a moot point, as you can't compare the 2.

Do a Halo VS Resistance and see which one wins.

You must memory loss...because I remember tons of comments when R2 came out on how it was better than Halo...

just do the Poll. You always going to get 60 something people thinking a regular game is better than something epic.

play MGS4 on The Boss Extreme mode. the hardest difficulty setting. you have to stealth or else you are DEAD!

CPU: Ryzen 9950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 Pro

Having played all of the games in each series, I feel that they both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I have more issue with the Splinter Cell series.

When it started off it was very strict and not doing something "the way the game wanted you to do it" would more often than not lead to failure. Add to that the immense amount of bugs in each game of the series (falling through floors, disappearing save games), it just hasn't endeared to me as much as Metal Gear Solid has, even though that is quite strict in it's own way.

Looking at Conviction, as pretty as it is on an old engine, I don't know what it's trying to be. The stealth is there, but now it seems that you could just shoot your way through a level if you liked. I know that is exactly what happens in MGS4, but that was never what the Splinter Cell series was about for me.

Will see when the reviews come out.

I'd have to vote the splinter cell series over the MGS series. Haven't played conviction sorry

MGS4 has a story, Splinter Cell essentially doesn't
MGS4 has better graphics, but Splinter Cell generally looks pretty good
Splinter Cell uses things like close combat moves to make the game differ from a regular FPS
MGS stealth is actually really bad, From what I've played of splinter cell the stealth is only slightly bad (face it, making a realistic stealth game that is actually possible to beat is a task beyond even our best programmers)

@scottie

play mgs4 on hardest difficulty. For real "extreme thrills"

CPU: Ryzen 9950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 Pro

I've played it on the harder difficulty that was inititally available. The problems I see with it are
The enemies notice that someone has infiltrated their top secret base, they look for a minute then give up. This means that whatever else the game does, it is not trying to be a realistic stealth game. In actual fact, they would look until they found you. I also found the suspension of disbelief as to the effectiveness of the camoflague suit to be beyond me, and again found that it made the game completely unrealistic. Unless the hardest difficulty setting changes these two facts, then my point remains

THis vote is TOTAL  crap  because not one person has played the new splinter cell. so how can you even form  a opinion yet. O I forgot it's for the xbox, It sucks already.

You people need to play the game before you can even rap your mind around a vote. what a joke, why even ask a question on this site.

I WILL SOLVE ALL THE VOTES FOR YOU IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PS3 IT WILL ALWAYS WIN ON THIS SITE, YOU COULD COMPARE JUNK TO A TRIPLE AAA GAME AND THE CRAP WOULD WIN IF IT IS ON THE PS3. THE END. POINTLESS TO EVEN VOTE ON  THIS SITE.

You need to try it on The Boss Extreme difficulty.

Remember, the story is taken place in the future. Giant bipedal machines is used in warfares etc. Not to mention nano technology.

you can't compare conviction and mgs4 since conviction isn't even out yet,

no idea how to make this properly work
