The US has a pretty easy bracket and should make it to the Medal Round their only serious competition is the Czech Republic. In the other bracket Sweden, Canada and Russia have to compete against each other to make it to the Medal Round.

When you get outshot by that much yet still win it tells me one of two things.

You were facing undisciplined amaetuers (not so.)

Or you riding a really hot goalie.

That's why goalies are so critical in single elimination events; a hot goalie can steal a game for your team, which is kind of what happened last night. Canada outplayed the US for much of the game.

Regardless, the game tonight was very entertaining, it's just too bad NBC chose to bump it to msnbc in favor of ice dancing...

you can watch all the ice hockey matches online at their website (or at least that is what I saw advertised)

I get MSNBC so I was able to watch it, I just thought more people should have watched that game because of how epic it was, and msnbc has far fewer viewers than nbc proper...

Sorry, but I watched the first two periods. I didn't see this "significantly out played" bull crap. I wasn't nervous for USA what so ever.

Worse then that. It'd be like a team of All-starts losing to a team of all Canadians. The canadian team is STACKED. Also i'd say Canadians are better at hockey then Americans are at baseball.
