The US has a pretty easy bracket and should make it to the Medal Round their only serious competition is the Czech Republic. In the other bracket Sweden, Canada and Russia have to compete against each other to make it to the Medal Round.

Well guys, that's it, time to start preparing ourselves for the impending apocalypse.
When you get outshot by that much yet still win it tells me one of two things.
You were facing undisciplined amaetuers (not so.)
Or you riding a really hot goalie.

That's why goalies are so critical in single elimination events; a hot goalie can steal a game for your team, which is kind of what happened last night. Canada outplayed the US for much of the game.

you can watch all the ice hockey matches online at their website (or at least that is what I saw advertised) |
I get MSNBC so I was able to watch it, I just thought more people should have watched that game because of how epic it was, and msnbc has far fewer viewers than nbc proper...
This is like the United States losing the World Series to a team entirely comprised of Canadians.
Sorry, but I watched the first two periods. I didn't see this "significantly out played" bull crap. I wasn't nervous for USA what so ever.
