I only played the first one. I'm still debating on buying this game. To many other games coming up. lol

Likely mainly high quality textures and audio, they usually take up the most space besides cinematic videos.

when your riding a TITAN which is a what they refered to a sony monica as "your riding on a  moving level" with that as just one Asset in game..it's no wonder than include enviroment's, resolution, texture. sound, particle effect's etc. its no wonder it's that big

Oh sick Blu-Ray can fit that much on a single layer now? I can't imagine what it's gonna be like when this gen is nearly over.

the ps3 well be ready to read those disc's also, even the 8cm.

It may be the sound. MGS4's disk was maxed out not because of the cutscenes which is a popular misconception but because of the uncompressed sound.

Not sure if this is the case with GoW3, but I can't imagine this type of game being so long as to warrant that kind of space. The graphics are incredible but so they are in UC2 and KZ2 and neither of them, to my knowledge utilized this amount of space.

I assume it was just because they didn't bother with any compression... at all?

Didn't Uncharted 2 fill up the blu-ray? Or was that just a single layer blu-ray? {and that might be because they stuck some developer interviews in there, in HD}
