Forums - Gaming - Bioshock 1 vs. Bioshock 2 ???

I just wanted to know what you guys think of Bioshock2 and is it better than the first.

I probably won't buy it until this summer but I value your opinions more so than most critical reviews.

I enjoyed the first one, but I only made it through about half of it. It was good but I lost interest in it.

Is Bioshock2 more of the same or is it really a much better game?

Fuck... I'm dead!

if you didnt enjoy the first one then ur not gonna enjoy the second one, i like the second one better because it has funner gameplay because of the new weapons, but its a story driven game

i'm not very far in the game yet, but i'm not hooked like i was in the first bioshock. there is still plenty of time for things to get more interesting by so far it seems good but sub-par.

I'm with you, OP. I got Bioshock on day 1. That demo was too good to resist. About halfway through, I put it down. I tried to beat it a few more times but it really couldn't hold my interest. B2 may be better but it's not even on my radar.

And I m with you too lol

even if I was really close to the end when I stopped (god know why ...) to play it (same happened with HL2 ...)

To the OP : I would say Bioshock2 is a good game BUT the Bioshock1 was perhaps a bit overrated so people were crazy about it like if it was "amazingly innovative" while it was not that much

Neverthless, if you want a good cheap FPS made by the same guy that made Bioshock and with a similar gameplay,
why not play System Shock 2 ? or even System Shock 1 (well, it didnt aged well ...)

Time to Work !

Bioshock is generally regarded as the better game as it has a better atmosphere and overall better single player experience.

Bioshock 2 is generally regarded as a very ambitious game that tried to add things that fans wanted but comes off as a rushed or unfocused sequel.

Pixel Art can be fun.
