this is silly, The Falklands are a British overseas territory that just happens to be close to Argentine waters

you dont see Canada placing claims on St-Pierre and Miquelon (France) which are like 15 min from Newfoundland or the States claiming Bermuda (UK)

The people of the Falkland islands want to remain British. Why on earth would they think they would be entitled to British oil?

If need be give the British people of the Falklands the vote to prove like in 2000, that 90% of the island wants to remain British.

argentina is a country of spanish colonials that doesnt have any navy that can actually enforce their threats and has no logical claim on the islands.

Absolutely wild of them to try and enforce this claim. It's not like anything has changed in 20+ years that would give them a better chance at this (except that they aren't run by a Junta, so their claim could be seen as slightly more legitimate thus)

argentina has a problem because, for whatever crazy illogical reason, they believe the islands belong to them.  they all like "lets talk about sovereignty" and UK like "f u gtfo these are our islands, we aint talking bout shit nemore"

UK isnt willing to discuss that issue and argentina isnt willing to discuss anything else anymore.
