Forums - Sales - Console in Japan is Dead! Every console are collecting dust?!

Well, we all know that Super Mario Galaxy doesn't sell that well as everybody's prediction.

I have heard that Wiis in Japan is collecting dust, yes this is true!!However not just Wii, all of the console (PS3,PS2,360,GC) are collecting dust. And Wii is the one that collecting the least dust.......

This is the Console's software sales data in 2007.

Only 14 out of 50

6 are Wii

5 are PS2

3 are PS3

Look at that the market of Japan, the console is enormously decreasing. Nothing can't save it even the innovative Wii with the same(better) ability as(than) DS for expanding audience and market.

It is not RPG,Sports or FPS........nothing can survive well in Japan, look at the sales of Zelda(528,007), it only got a little better sales than Warioware(527,316).

Maybe DS is a little bit too success for others(Wii,PS2,PS3,360 & PSP!), that's why so many titles have appear as NDS exclusive for sequel, Metal Slug 7, Contra 4, Dragon Quest IX(Square Enix is the smart one).

Super Mario Galaxy is already done very well in Japan..... I don't know what should I say for the console dieing market, maybe they will be no more console in Japan someday later.

I predict that Nintendo DS harware sales will surpass PS2 by the end of this year, that's incredible right? Look at the sales of NDS(20,100,295) and PS2 (22,173,751), you will know everything

Poor PS3 Sales Means Smaller Losses

"Actually, because the number of units sold was not as high as we hoped, the loss was better than our original expectation," Quotes from Sony’s CFO Nobuyuki Oneda.
