Forums - Microsoft - Mad Tracks XBLA has reached 1,000,000 downloads

Load Inc., the biggest of the small Paris based development studios is glad to announce that its historical game “Mad Tracks XBLA” has reached 1,000,000 downloads.

Load Inc thanks D3P of America, the Californian based publisher who had the patience of working with them on this great title.

“There’s a great thing about Mad Tracks XBLA (…) once you start you cant actually stop! And that comes in handy when it’s time for dinner” says Thomas Leinekugel, VP project manager at Load Inc. and fine food enthusiast, “we’re a little worried about the upcoming XBLA competition of ‘Things on Wheels’, thank God it’s also our game!”

“Most people who played ‘Mad Tracks’ are telling us their life is better now and that they have more friends” says Herve Nedelec, AD at Load Inc. – the information has not been formally verified but we’re pretty confident it’s true.

Mad Tracks is an action-packed toy-car racing game, with toy cars powered by spring engines. Complete up to 45 challenges and gather 12 crazy achievements. Races are set in everyday places, like toy stores, mini-golf parks, and restaurants. Compete with your family and friends on a multiplayer split screen. And it’s not just about racing: outpace your opponents by winning at pool or darts, or befuddle them with rockets or freezers.

The free demo download includes 2 complete challenges, try it too and give this game a chance to entertain you if you have never experienced the fun & thrills of a mini racer.

Don’t get even, get Mad!

In 2007 Xboxic interviewed a major member of the development team - Denis Bourdain and reported a Mad Tracks special in 2006 since it was the first ever racing game on Xbox Live Arcade.

Mad Tracks is currently available on the XBLA for 800 MS Points and soon to be released as a boxed title on the Nintendo Wii in Europe.

1,000,000 copies @ 800MS points = $10,000,000 overall revenue = $4-$7M revenue depending on their publishing choices.

I lol'd.

If this game has sold over a million there must be several other games whom have also sold over a million.

Well this article says a million downloads. That could include the demo.

I just find it hard to believe this is a million seller.

It includes the demo.

There is no way Mad Tracks has sold a million units. It hasn't been in the top 20 any year that XBL has come out.

My assumption would be that its had ~1m downloads @ a 10% attach rate.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Havent heard of this game beofre.
Will check it out.
I could do with more friends
