There's a lot of good advice in this thread. I'll just add: Don't overlook Wii Sports. It may be old and it may be free, but it's still hella fun.

I was going to jump in this thread just to say that.

I'd say get No More Heroes 1, because I enjoyed it. Standard first party list, and a host of Wiiware titles.

Galaxy was awesome.

Basically look at that list smeags linked. Its really good.

Of course you can look at my profile, any game I have listed is one I kept because I really liked it.

Only games I didn't keep that i did like (sold due to wanting something and wouldn't play more than once due to time) was Metroid Primes (so get trilogy) and Twilight Princess.

Wii sport resorst - more complex than the first one and you get the moion plus
