I love unagi. Too bad lots of folks just have some silly mental barrier against it. @dunno001 The aforementioned Wagyu/foie gras/truffle burger was from the Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. It was really good, but for 60 bucks, I probably won't order it again. |
Mmm... add me to the unagi boat! I've always wanted to try it grilled, but it makes for a damn fine sushi. I do know some people who have a barrier against it, but one of my roommates loves the stuff.
As for that burger, yeah, at $60, I don't think I'd ever get it. I was reluctant to get the foie gras add-on for $10 (or in other words, more than the cost of the burger), so yeah... $60 is out of the question. And it's been a while since we've been to this burger place; I should see about getting back there this weekend...

Poutine? I don't know. Do you guys eat poutine?
ham pizza....
I have never seen any place in USA where they serve ham pizza
Guinea Pigs.... I'm not joking, those are typical food from my country

Do you mean ham as a topping on a pizza, or something else? If it's the former, it's quite common now; even Domino's offers ham as a topping.

What's wrong with Unagi? I love good sushi (good is very important though, it can't be too fishy).
OT: A nice dry beef jerky with bleu cheese on it. Let me point out I usually don't like bleu cheese, but this is heavenly, especially if you are a salty food fan.

heh, I knew a bunch of guys who would drive out there about once a month just to get one. I wasn't that dedicated
Ostrich and Bison are the two things that probably top my list of things most people probably haven't eaten, but they are in no way my favorite thing.
A true Philadelphia cheese steak is probably the top of my list. If you claim you've had one and you weren't in/around Philly, then you were eating garbage. Granted that is a fairly famous food.
If I have to get into the more scarce items, spruce beer comes to mind. I love the stuff, but it seems you can only find it north of the border. It's literally like drinking a spruce tree
Also, it's tough to find Sol beer outside of Mexico or the southern American states (sucks 'cause I live in Minnesota ) Sol con Limon y Sal is a fairly sublime experience.
i make this hearty chunky soup. that sometimes goes purple, and sometimes goes sludge-green.
it really is tasty, i swear!
