GBA could have sold much more if Nintendo didn't kill it prematurely.

leo-j said: The wii might do it, but I have my doubts, its $199, and despite being cheaper than last year at the same time, its falling behind.. then again stock is an issue for nintendo in the U.S |
Er, Wii's tracking well ahead of PS2 in every market but Japan... and at a higher pricepoint too.
Wii beating PS2 rests entirely on how Nintendo decides to wind the platform down.

There are lots of males and females over the age of 21 with a DS.

New platform or not, Nintendo counted them together, and Advance seperately: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/library/historical_data/pdf/consolidated_sales_e0912.pdf
The GBC is similar to the DSi. Nearly all GB/DS games work on the successor, some games were designed to work on the former with enhanced features for the latter, and some are exclusive to GBC/DSi. Nintendo totals all DS models together, but it now also gives data on individual models.

DS is a portable game. PS2 is a console.
It is totally diferent!!!
PS2 still will be the biggest seller console for the next years.

That's some very interesting statistics for japan where handhelds dominate the market, but I live in the United States (Denver) and I doubt you would have such a wide varying range of age for the handheld here. I never meant to insult anyone I just was stating an observation as another poster noticed. |
I'm in the US as well and I doubt it is much different here. There are tons of older people with a DS.

I live in NYC, you see pretty much every age, ethnicity, gender, race, etc, represented on the subways playing DS, from little girls to young professionals to senior citizens. Maybe it's different for cities with heavy public transport/commuters.
Coincidentally, I only ever see male teens and early 20-somethings with PSPs... and half the time they're watching videos on them.

UHMMMMMMMMMM, that sounds familiar. Could it be that system, that its out right now, that gets this thing called the Red Ring of Death like a million times? I believe its name was Xb....you just have to walk in to a game store and BOOM, there it is with its RROD.
