Those always get me.

the opposite here, im always "another cliche scene ..5...4...3..2.1"

So you're saying because one genre has one overly used cliche that the genre should die?

You do know every genre has at least one overly used cliche right?

notice i said "One" of the reasons, Horror movies became too predictable and cliche and not for this reason alone.

I think you missed the point-- in the opening post you said horror movies should die, presumably because of the mirror cliche.

I made the point every type of genre has overly used cliche's that are just as bad and are also completely predictable.

Why are you hating horror movies?

Sure, there's a lot of bad ones, but there's a lot of bad movies of every genre. In fact, most movies in all genres are bad. Especially recently...

Cliches are funny every now and then, but gets repetitive when overused. Horrer movies are still fun.

Are you the type of movie buff that only or heavily prefers serious movies? I used to be the same way, only like sci-fi horror or something high quality like the shining, or exorcist, etc

But keep in mind that a lot of genres are like that: war movies aren't all that diverse, romance movies aren't either, zombie movies are all about death/ the way we approach death and fight against it - not that diverse, action movies are usually pretty low brow even thoug the diversity among plots is amazing.

If you dont like the slasher thing, just check out some of the more high quality flicks. Ps, among books, horror is extremely lacking of unique plots unless you read steven king. I just read several of HP lovecraft's stories one of the best horror authors around, and they all sound the same.

So, i dont think that any genre is better or worse just better in diff ways. Peace.

I think most of them are silly and stupid, dont really scare you and often seem more like a bad gore fest with shitty special effects that only end up making people laugh but not me, they often get me saying: this shit is stupid, bad done and I cant believe people actually like them.

There are good ones like someone said like the shining and the exorcist but most of them are just bad, dont scare and they dont entertain(me at least)

I think the guys that make most of them arent really trying to make a good movie. This happens with every genre but I dislike it more in the horror one.

I don't watch many horror movies anymore. After watching that video, I probably won't use mirrors much, anymore.

Well, every film genre should die then? Because every single one of them has cliches.
