That's nothing compared to his comment that the PS3 is going to pass the 360 in North America.  I guess Sony must have a 15 year plan now.

Didn't Sony BUY a whole lot of 3rd party studios over the past 2 generations?  I can never understand this argument...M$ pays 3rd party to develop games, and Sony bought alot of developers in it's heyday...hmmm...interesting.

Also interesting is that he then adds Agent and FFXIV as exclusives.

None of those games' devs are first party afaik


  He also mentioned Mass Effect 2 as exclusive so he seems to ignore pc market totally.

I think they do each have a different definition, but that wont tie in with any VGC metric. so i guess we should compare europe to europe... in which case its no biggie. I know people like a nice conspiracy.. but there really isnt one to find here.

I know he said europe, but if that's according to "Sony vision" then that might even entail other parts that we do not include in Europe >_>

 

Oh well, no need to keep speculating over this anyway. Financial reports are a month away or so?

His comments are also a very hypocritical, considering that Zipper was BOUGHT by Sony, not homegrown, and Heavy Rain's developer, Quantic Dream is a 3rd party studios...how stupid is that? M$'s strategy could have been to buy Bioware and Pandemic, and Buy Take 2, and buy Epic, etc etc etc...but they instead choose to buy titles, and people want to knock them for it....that's complete spin spin spin, but then again, this clown is trying to get us to see how PS3, WHICH cost more to develop for, provided better ROI for 3rd party...lol...clownish!

Anyways atleast this guy talks his mind without filters. He doesn't beat around the bush here. Sure he only mentions positive things but he does it in a optimistic and .. well it doesn't seem terribly arrogant way.

Its ironic from our perspective here.

Its an arrogant statement designed simply to put pressure on third party publishers. If you can't see it, fine. But it is there.

its often easy to get whatever you want out of whatever you read.

Sony has said so many things this gen i just can't help lolling at this.


Never has a platform been threatened by publishers (Activision and Valve mainly) or lost so many exclusivities as the PS3.
