Garnett's amazing gameplay video:

Yep, I was doing fine until there piece of shit servers disconnected me.

You ran into the same tank 3-4 times, and literally just ran in a huge wide circle around your base. Just sit tight, and move only when you have to. No unnecessary running around like MW2.

I dont like to camp, its not my thing.

You're an Defender. You should only be moving in reaction to the enemy coming (if you see someone running on the left side, or hear the alarm for the crate go by).

If i stay in one place or area it gives a sniper the perfect shot on me, and since half the enemy team is sniping thats not such a good idea.

That's why I say you should be taking cover. You have plenty of crates around objective B. Also, constantly spot. The spotting system needs to be nerfed IMHO, since I can just spam the shit out of it.

What is spotting and what's good about it?

And what are crates exactly? It sounds like they both are the objectives but at the same time something else around the obj?

Spotting is pressing the spot button (unsure what it is in the PC beta, google that up yourself please. Select/Back for PS360) when you have your crosshair on an enemy unit. It's helpful because it gives you a nice orange cone for you to aim at, but most importantly it allows your teammates to see the enemies you see, and you'll see it on your minimap so you'll have a general idea of how the battle formations are (thinking in RTS terms, left, center, right flanks).

Spam em, and you'll get LOTS of valuable information.

The crates I'm talking about are the cement blocks on the right and left to the wooden fense you see Garnett futiley (sp?) trying to take cover behind.

Another thing is one guy can sit and camp in tank while his buddy keeps repairing him. Thats a good way to get scores up.

The repair kit has been nerfed a bit so that it overheats. And yes, that's a great way to keep scores up since it's teamwork. However, you will lose if you simply sit back with the tanks, as the game is objective based. Also, with UAVs, helicopters, tracer darts, C4s, Stationary ATs, KORNS, etc, there should be no excuse unless there's only one Engineer trying to take out the tank.

Oh, cool. But the cone is just visually helping by encircling the target, it's not a lock on aim or zoom or anything?

Spam em... to get LOTS of valuable info for the team mainly, correct? (and back to me when teammates do the same of course, but the direct effect from spotting for ME is only getting the orange cone?)

Yeah i realize that but the hole point of the game is to destroy the objective, and i seen people go a hole game in a tank with his buddy repairing him and guess who came in first and second place?

Nope, no lock on.

Look it simply marks puts a big orange cone on the enemy, for you and your teammates to see:

You should stop caring so much about the score (just as you care so much about proving how 1337 you are.

Just enjoy the game, destruction, mayhem, and fun.

I agree with Garnett about the tank. I love the tank but there's not enuff of them for everybody.

That comic strip was funny.

If there was enuff of them for everybody, Battlefield would become a purely vehicular based game.

2 Stationary ATs, and Tracer+RPG is more than enough. The only thing left is just coordination.

Except when someone is camping in it with 2 guys repairing him.

Then let them take the first base. If you watch the video I'm going to post soon. The 3'rd base is a tank hell.
