thanks for the help...i would like to run at 1920x1080 cause that what the monitor i want can do. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236051

No problem! At that resolution, you'll probably want a Radeon 5770. I'd recommend this one: it's $5 more than the cheaper 1GB models, but features one of XFX's kick-ass cooling units.

I'd go for a Vapor-X one over anything else, they keep a lot cooler than the stock coolers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102868

I would suggest you change the memory into a 2x 2GB kit or get 4 x 2GB for 8GB of ram total as you're not going with a motherboard/CPU combo with tripple channel memory.

In addition to this I would suggest going with the HD 5850 or 5870 instead of the HD 5770 because it has a much wider memory bus and twice the memory bandwidth and its a cost effective upgrade now you've saved money on other areas of the build.

Tease.

i did change to a 2x2gb kit

i dont know if i want to upgrade the card just yet...run me over 100 bucks

Then may I suggest this card? Its quieter, it overclocks like a banshee and its $5 cheaper after mail in rebate. Its also made by Saphire, the company which also made the XFX board you have listed there as well. (XFX just stuck a sticker onto a card they got from Saphire)

Being a fairly hardcore overclocker, this card impressed me right out of the box. OC'd to 960/1445 with no issues at all and a max temp under load of 59*C. Idles right at 35*C OC'd, 32*C stock. No BIOS update needed(showed 800 shaders in GPU-Z).

ok thanks

Do you think my setup will be able to run crysis and if so like what kind of settings and frames?

thanks

Nice help guys :)
I agree with Garcian Smith, good information!

As far as Crysis goes, my guess would be high settings with no AA and 1080p around 40-45 fps avg?
Just a complete off the wall guess though since my PC is a bit slower and gets around 35-38 fps avg.
Q9550/gtx260/4gbRAM however no 2 scenarios are the same so its hard to say, it should look gorgeous and be completely playable though so no worries :)

Check out the MechWarrior: Living Legend mod or any of the other crazy Crysis mods after you play the normal game to death ;)

Current Favorites:
Wii - Muramasa, MH3, Metroid Trilogy, RS2, Okami, RE4, COD, Dead Space, Scarface
