Pokemon games are remakes

You may not know this proberly think this. But Pokemon games are just remakes. Why you may ask?
Well for one thing. They have the same things over and over again. They do the same thing always.
Each game is the same. 8 gym battles, Fight team _____ from taking over the world, Have a legendary as the
mascot, Have the same story,add more pokemon.etc.The pokemon 3rd and 4th generation are all terriable looking at them makes me sick and are rip offs of pokemon already in the game. Thing is. That the games are never changed. They are all the
same. Top to bottom. The seris never changes its fomula. The games are basicly Blue and Red but with improved things
and more content. All they do is make the same game over and over. I mean the 1st 2 generations were atleast try and
make a diffrent game. Yellow and Crystal did a good job at that. Though things went down hill from their. Gold was the last
sequal to this seris. Gold had a contiued story and was diffrent. But when ruby came out. We got a remake. Than they were
even bigger jerks and made a remake of a remake with Emerald. Its like they make these games for money. Wait it gets worse.
They made anthor remake but they actually say its one . Fire red and leaf green. Nice. Red and Blue weren't even
9 years old yet! Don't think it gets worse from their. They make a remake for the DS. Its called Diamond. Wow when are we getting
Pokemon 3!?! Seriously when! Than we got a remake to Gold and silver. Like gold came out in the same decade as you hello!
We don't need gold heart yet. We have a remake to Diamond too! Its called platinum. Why nintendo why!?!? All these games are remakes of Blue. Pokemon games are made every year. They make them for the sake of milking the franchise even more. The worse thing about it.The games sell over 15 million copies!The remakes of the remakes usually sell over 5 million copies. These foolish people. Wait what do
I hear in the backround? The goal is to catch them all? That's why they are the same. You just proved my point even more.
These diffrent versions of games. Are their to get twice the money of the same game. They make 2 seperate titles that don't have all the content! They have part of them. They make you buy them both to get all the pokemon. What's worse is that to catch all 493 pokemon. Is that you have to have the GBA titles too! That's not fair. Not fair at all. You got to have every pokemon game. To catch them all.  They make director cuts of these 2 games and sell anthor 5 million copies. With little effort in these titles. Wow just wow.
Though their is good news.  Diamond and Pearl sold about the same as Ruby. Consider Ruby came out for the GBA in a year before the DS came out. Which meant bye bye Ruby's sales. So the Pokemon seris is in decline. It won't be long until the people at nintendo say    "oh no! we have to make a sequal to pokmon gold and quick!" When they do that. I'll buy anthor pokemon game

Somone got a meltdown . Oh well. I hope the pokemon games sells more because of him. With these remakes. I disagree with him entirely though.

I disagree completely as well. You could really say that about most games but it won't make them any less great than they actually are.

You can say that all you do in GTA is kill, shoot, and steal,
you can say that all you do in FPS's is shoot people over and over again,
you can say that all you do in Tetris is make lines,
but in the end people will still like it.

I somewhat agree with the Remakes being Cash ins. But they are really good games, so what does it matter?

Yup, seems like he's telling the truth. Three Mystery Dungeon games released in a gap of three years, three Ranger games released in a gap of five years, four Original RPG games released in a gap of four years, and they're the same!

Thank goodness Zorua and Zororark opened my eyes to it: HeartGold will be the last Pokémon game I buy, because I know the V Generation games won't be ANY different from DPt. The problem is that Pokémon still sells well because of its appeal to stupid kids watching the most ignorant character ever: Ash Ketchum; as well for long-time fans who are fooled (like I was many times) thinking the next game is a revolution (Wi-Fi Plaza? Battle Frontier "2.0"? Pokéathlon? I don't bite that...).

The main problem of Game Freak is that they are way too afraid of innovating. Nintendo innovates in every game the EAD develops (with few exceptions), while Game Freak and third-parties (Chunsoft for PMD, Genius Sonority for the console games) don't try it at all. Not that I want radical changes in the battle system, but innovating in story, exploration and training is what could make the series worth of recognition.

What I mean it that, for instance, if you ask a Nintendo fan if God of War or Halo is really that worth of being called "great franchises", it's most likely he or she will agree (even with some hesitation some times); on the other hand, if you ask a Sony/Microsoft fan (not a fanboy!) if Pokémon deserves the same, he or she will probably say no, because, for them, it lacks "quality".

The series is big in sales, but low in scores and consensus in the video game society, and what is responsible for this is the total lack of renovation on it. I have to agree it's the same thing every time: get a Pokédex, defeat the evil organization, achieve the eight badges and defeat the Elite 4, catch'em all [and defeat the Frontier Brains when possible], with a few features that eludes any gamer unable to stop his or her impulsion and reflect about what that game will bring more than the last's (and I mean what REALLY makes the difference).

Everyone who is amazed by these two new Pokémon (who look more like a "Diamond/Jade" Telefang), I ask you to stop with the euphoria and, at least, wait for technical news from the games, to see what will bring besides what we've been seeing in the last 14 years.

My seven-year-old has shown an interest in Pokemon.
Luckily, I have yellow-blue-red to play -- since it is all basically the game ... I mean same basic game.
Unfortunately, I need to replace the battery on my red (which means I lost the 24 hours I had put in on it years ago).

Remakes are nevar as good as the originals anyway... most of the time anyway... there are those few exceptions like SO2.
