Fuck i just want this gen to be over. its time for the next gen consoles to release. I sure hope he means that the next gen xbox will utilize natal and in that way natal will last 5 years

What do you want from a next generation that you cannot get now?

Just the atmosphere of a new generation. You know the waiting with baited breath to truly see what the hardware is truly capable of. Idk this gen is just getting stale and im ready for a change.

Its only effectively about 3 full years into the generation. Surely you can wait for a fourth? Most of the best games in a generation don't come out until year 3, but in this case I will say year four because game development is longer.

Eh im not so sure on that last point. I really havnt been super impressed by a games visuals since Gears of War back in 2006. Dont get me wrong but that was the last game (as far as the 360 goes) that really made me go HOLY SHIT! There's been lots of AWESOME games since then but very few have had all that much of a graphical WOW facter IMO.

Another 5 years to X360's lifespan? I wouldn't doubt it, but i hope not, i would want to see another 3 years, but not 5.

M$'s goal has always been the change the battlefield landscape, from hardware refresh to software refresh...Natal will extend this generation another 1 or 2...so I expect a new console launch in 3 years, but the old console will continue on for many more after that, but I suspeect M$ plan the next console as nothing more than a glorfied refresh of tech, thus allowing developers to not miss a beat in programming from console to console.

Sorry, I see what you mean now. You want graphics? Well you've got a few choices:

1. Eyefinity as in more is more. Get a couple more 24" LCDs and an HD 5970 and rock in a completely different world.

2. 3D as in depth is more. It'd probably require an Nvidia card to get the most out of.

These are your best choices for getting that WOW factor.

if this means a longer life span for the 360 than thats good news
