I was playing the single player mode of Modern Warfare 2 for the second time and I realized there is no North American citizen in the line of fire. You have brazilian people, russian, but no american. Not a single one in the line of fire. Every stage taking place on american ground has everything but... americans! I doubt a surprise attack would leave enough time for evacuations. Specially big cities like Washington. Interesting how Infinity Ward can go as far as including a stage like "No Russian" but at the same time they visibly avoided to show american citizens getting into dangerous situations. What you guys think? Is it a taboo to show american civilians in danger while it is "ok" to see people from the rest world getting the bullet?

If they made one where Americans were hurt, it would probably be the end of the world. The press would have a field day with it. It is ok if it is anyone else though.

Contrary to popular opinion no North American citizens actually live in North America.They are routuinly spotted on the internet but their locations have never been traced.

Probably because America is the largest market for the game and they don't want to alienate their primary audience.
