I'd rather see a completely new game. A new IP or a new entry in any of their other series they haven't touched for a very long time.
What is happening with Mana, Saga, Parasite Eve, Valkyrie Profile and Ogre Battle? How about a sequel to the amazing Terranigma!? They have Chrono (though I don't know if I want them to touch that...). Mischief Makers 2!?
Square-Enix is so much more than just FF and DQ...

SE didnt create Valkyrie Profile tri-Ace did..so you'll have to wait for RoF to finish and they could start on it.other than that I agree

I would be happy with a "remake" that only changed the blocky character models for better ones and with HD pre rendered scenarios (to be able to paly on a HDTV without my eyes bleeding, but I think they were made in low res so no way). A better translation would not hurt. That way people would not complain about SquareEnix changing too many things.

Yes, that's true. Do you know if Tri-Ace or SE owns the IP? I would love to see Valkyrie Profile 3 but I want Tri-Ace to make it.

I don't think Tri-Ace is done with SE. I think they just wanted to try something different.

Enix owns the IP, but im sure tri-Ace has a sya in it as well so im 100% positive that when VP3 comes it will be done by tri-Ace

I dont know dude..tri-Ace did say that they wanted to move on from there old IP's that Enix holds. I belive they got tired of SE not giving them the assets and time they needed to do there projects so they finished all there old IP's to move on and make new ones with a different more free devloper like SEGA( there reason for working with them to begin with)

Its going to be a challenge but if it happens I will purchase it...
