Wii --> 370k in 2009, 900k ltd (end of 2009)

DS --> 350k in 2009, 1300k ltd (end of 2009)

The source is Bergsala, a Swedish distributor of Nintendo's products in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (Finland excluded).

For comparison, VGC's sales up to end of 2009 in Scandinavia (including Finland) were:

Wii --> 313k in 2009, 967k ltd (end of 2009)

DS --> 295k in 2009, 1600k ltd (end of 2009)

Finland is about 17% of the Scandinavian market.

The 2009 sales appear to be undertracked but the ltd are pretty much spot on, accounting for Finland.

If you take 17% out of those VGC LTD numbers you get 800K for Wii and 1328K for DS, so I'd say that's undertracking Wii and overtracking DS by 30K (which is spot on, really).

Yeah, the Wii is off (undertracked) by about 100k in both ltd and 2009 sales.

Always nice to get numbers for these kind of areas.

Well, I've been in Finland for 6 months ('til last december) and Wii sells really bad there... I bought a bunch of good games for 20€ (for example Muramasa) because they didn't sell there. In Gamestop, as well in malls (like Prisma) the shelf space for Wii was quite small if you compared it to the shelf space given to X360 and PS3... So maybe Wii is not that undertracked...

On the response of Incubi... yes, they said they are nordics but not scandinavian (or something like that... well, I can't remember now )

It is, as far as VGC is concerned. Maybe the region should be renamed into Nordic or something.

numbers for other consoles would be nice for comparison
