I think everyone would agree that Rico need's to be hit by one of those lightning cannon's and splattered across the screen in all of it's graphical, bloody glory.

I also hope Visari had a son or something, I need one of those speeches to start me up in the game.

More desert stages, or just more colourful stages in general. The desert was amazing.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I don't care if he's dead. His openings ROCK.

Good topic.  I'd like to see a few things:
Co-op, split-screen and online, campaign and multiplayer.
More civilians in the urban battle settings; Helghast doesn't feel like an actual place without people or stores or dwellings.  It feels like all the gunfights take place on an abandoned movie set or something.  They should add civilian-type Helghans, and maybe introduce a kind of dynamic mechanic where the civilians attack with whatever's at hand (rocks and debris at first, and they can even pick up fallen soldiers' guns) if you fire on them.

A little more intrigue/thriller aspects; rather than just all out action all the time.  I liked the segment in KZ2 when Sev gets separated from the team; maybe a sequence where the main character has to escape a POW camp or the like, rebuilding his arsenal from fallen foes.
Different environments; maybe not beaches or jungles, but different kinds of cities or bases.  Certain Helghan outposts can have different design philosophies or environmental circumstances.  I loved the desert stages: maybe an naval outpost or cruiser.  I know that it's supposed to be a monolithic, totalitarian state, but just for the sake of variety, I'd like to see aesthetic variations on that theme.
More sci-fi-style weapons; like the Electricity Gun.
Slightly tighter camera control; maybe it's just me, but the game's a lot harder to just pick up and play without time to acclimate to the floaty camera.  I don't mind the heavier movement, but I'd like more precise camera control.
Bigger maps; I loved the 32-person battles spread over huge maps, I loved sniping people from across maps, I loved rolling out with my whole squads and getting into skirmish after skirmish on the way to objectives.  I hated 'nade spamming and killfests in the smaller, more cramped maps, especially the DLC ones.  Maybe it's just me.
Better story; There has to be something more to explore in this world than just space marines killing people/things.  Maybe this isn't the franchise to do it with, but I just want something a little bit more outside of the box.  Not a lot, just a little bit.
Online character customization options; just a small thing, but I enjoy the options in Halo for instance, and I think shooters are more fun when you can keep a look out for specific people based solely on their custom character design.
That's pretty much it for me.

A helghast campaign simply cause it's awesome, but....what would make it better? Rico is the final boss. Kill him with your own bloody bullets.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

why not play fallout? or an rpg...? battles whether urban, modern, old, are always done away from civilians. in shooters it's you versus the bad guys there's no interaction amongst civilians unless it's in a cinema or cutscene. not trying to criticize your opinion but most people like to take aspects of other games and want them implemented in others why not play that game or give ideas for the sequel of that game? this isnt fallout it's killzone.

only thing i care about is getting rid of rico. i got tired of killing him. >

  • Four player split screen, two player is better than none though.
  • Low latency controls (keep the weight if they want)
  • Stable 30FPS
  • Adjusted level design so I don't keep getting caught in long range engagements with short range weapons and vice versa or let us carry two mainline weapons + heavy + pistol. Say for example I can have a sniper rifle, rocket launcher, and SMG for up close.
  • No Rico and this man must die horribly.
  • Turn on a few lights here and there.

why not play cod, socom, or MAG? this is killzone you get one main weapon, one secondary weapon. resistance 2 is the same way. again like the other guy im not trying to criticize your opinion but in general people need to stop trying to get developers to implement apects of other games into theirs just because the other game has something you (they) like. i mean you can hope but dont get your hopes up. again not trying to criticize your opinion but wanted to give my opinion on the matter

p.s you might want to check out MAG you can have a sniper rifle (main weapon), rocket launcher (heavy weapon), with an smg (sidearm) if thats what you like as your load-out

I was criticising the gameplay decisions. Did you read the first part of my sentence? It was an and/or type situation. So whether or not I change weapons like COD or whether I carry a few more guns or they change the level design slightly so I can always be equiped properly for an engagement it doesn't matter.

Just because Halo made something one way, doesn't mean that every game has to copy that design. Halo was designed for the setup, everyone else is just copying without understanding the level design and balancing requirements.

Tease.

I should clarify.  I don't want NPCs you have to talk to and get missions from.  You're more or less right; if you want that, you should play something else.  I'm talking about making Helghan a place with civilians who are caught in the middle of a ground war, who are running for cover while their city and homes are being destroyed.  And I think it would be cool if you were under orders not to harm them, and, if you did, instead of starting over from the checkpoint (like you do in this situation in a lot of other shooters) if the civilians in the background began to fight back.

To me, it's a way to make the environments more dynamic and to make the gameplay more involved than simply lighting up targets, hence I'd like to see something like that implemented.

And I have to disagree that wars are fought away from civilians.  I don't think you have to look too far back in world history to see examples of wars fought in the middle of massive, populated urban centers.

And I think that the aesthetic of many of the settings in KZ2 are distinctly urban and even a little suburban.  It's not too much of a stretch to add the wrinkle of non-combatants to the game.
