Those franchises were only Sony franchises because Sony was big enough to "bully" everyone else out of the market for a couple generations... they bought plenty of franchises when they were ahead. It's just now the pricetag is higher and they can't buy as much stuff.

You and BHR seem confused that he is directly referring to sales with the word 'big'. Big directly infers popularity = sales, not how one person or sub-section of a community perceives quality.
Uncharted 2 probably has the best chance of hitting 4 million than the other Sony exclusives - which wouldn't put it far outside Metal Gear Solid 4.
thats right it could but MK is not a console exclusive
the bottom line is that id rather have sony use there $ to create new franchises big or small rather than to get timed exclusives (full exclusiveness like maybe ME and L4D) is another matter i think it shouldnt be done often or at all it hurts the gaming industry

Not to mention that without new franchises, things get repeatative and stale after a while. IMO, there should be fresh ideas once in a while.

2 games like uncharted gears l4d ect are not getting to be experienced from as many people as they could of if they were multi causing the game industry to grow at a slower pace
i see gmaing as a form of entertainment very much like movies i mean there both on a disk format and after uve experinced them you dont really go back to them much like moves i dont have to buy different types of dvd players to watch movies 1 dvd player plays them all i think it would be better if there was just one console that plays all the current gen games games

Gears of War again its multi i can get it on PC ecxept for 2
now the sales are not as good for these gams i mentioned but i never said that in my OP all im trying to say is id rather have sony participate in making new franchises that are good quality games and so far theyve done that |

no 1 console that will play all games halo gears mgs nsmb kart ect
it would be hard for the wii to play KZ2 or halo
nintendo MS and sony should make just 1 together
ps3 or 360 for this gen is the perfect candidate take the wii controls add them to it and have all multi plat games and exclusives run on one console
if i like one or 2 games from the wii or 360 its not going to make me run out and buy there console im sorry, but if there games all ran on the ps3 or just one (console) i would buy the games i like, now they are loosing a sale to me b/c of this and im sure that there are alot of other 1 console only people that feel the same way that they dont want to go out and buy another console
@ seece im still anti 360 and wii there are facts that are negative about those consoles that i just agree with i would still have all the vids on them but am not allowed too thats y i took them off i didnt just have them to make others feel bad bout there console of choice
1 reason i had them is its a good way of being able to decide who is and who is not obsessed with there console to me if a person is offended with those vids then they are obsessed if there're like me and dont really care which console is better then they wouldnt think much of them and maybe even laugh with the vids some parts where funny
