me i would keep the motion it has now, make the controller a bit bigger, leave the sticks in the same spot, add another face button in the middle of the four that are there now that way for games like uncharted u can have the cover button be separate from the roll so ur not getting in cover wen u want to roll and devs could do other things with a extra button for other games like FPS

i can deal with it, and its no problem. but after ps1, ps2, and ps3, its time to make a true NEW CONTROLLER.

 

I really hope I'm not the only one picking up on the sarcasm for this. 



The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

I have fairly big hands and I've never had a problem with the size of the DualShock controller. I started using them when I was 6 or 7 (I think that is when they released) and can still use them perfectly now. Maybe I hold it weird (I don't use my fingertips for the shoulder buttons/triggers, I use my middle section of each finger)?
I wouldn't mind seeing a bigger version of the DS3 (to go along with the current size), just because so many people seem to complain about it, but I wouldn't like to see something too different in terms of shape/layout from what we have now. Whatever happens, keep the analog sticks at the same height as each other.

The DaulShock is by far one of the worst controllers I've ever used for one major reason. Whoever thought that keeping the analog sticks in such a horrible position was a good idea should be fired. At minimum they should move the left analog stick up like on the GC or XBox controllers. No one's hands were made for bending your thumb down to control the stick while keeping your fingers on the triggers.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

1st face buttons are PS they have since PS2 even the directional buttons are too read this http://gear.ign.com/articles/306/306387p1.html

2nd the triggers are ok they do the job i know wat u mean how they snap back its loud and annoying i fixed the problem by gluing rubber bands on them its unnoticable now mine are quieter than even the face buttons i made a how to thread on this site awhile ago

3rd the fronttriggers have no PS? yes but do the 360s do? i dont think so there just one little click like a mouse on a PC to me that actually feels worse

but thats a good idea ds4 should have the r1 and l1 be pressure sensitive too
