N64 all the way. You can't argue with what that brought to gaming. It's all about trigger buttons and analogue sticks, and y'all know it!

a lot of the replies are pretty invalid as only older gamers will have played all the controllers at the time they were released, to be fair you have to have been around long enough to have experienced all the controllers and their inpact on gaming at the time. For me it's the n64 controller, revolutionary and it revolutionised 3d gaming. Took a little time to get used too but it wasn't long before it felt totally natural and the first time I used the analogue stick to control Mario in Mario 64 was amazing, it just felt like gaming had changed forever....I had never seen anything like it before and knew analogue sticks were the future of gaming.
The Best:
- Wiimote/Nunchuck/WM+ (1:1 gets to be number 1)
- Wavebird (perfect size, weight, button spacing)
The Good:
- GCN Standard controller (very nice, felt a little "cheap" though)
- Wiimote/Nunchuck (motion controller good, but not great. FPS aiming made up for it though)
- NES (light, durable, and easy on the thumbs, the standard)
The Bad:
- SNES (tried to improve on NES, curved edges hurt the feel, did not enjoy)
The Ugly:
- N64 (hated it, hated it, hated it, made Goldeneye unenjoyable for me)
Edit: Age = old enough to own with the Atari paddle at Super Breakout
