Something "we might not expect" implies something that hasn't been seen for awhile, which nixes over half your list.

I'm thinking a franchise that's at least five years old, like Twisted Metal, Dark Cloud, and the Legend of Dragoon.

Oh dude KZ3 is so definitely near completion. Can't wait for E3 this year, although I already have too many AAA games to spend my time on. Uncharted 2 and Demons souls.

I'd love to be wrong, but I'd bet money that Sony will never revisit the Legend of Dragoon IP. Now that Final Fantasy has gone multi=platform, I'd say that it's more likely than ever before, but I still don't see it happening.

For me it is.  It's possible we'll see a new Zelda, new MGS, new Ico, and new Demon's Souls this year.  That's four of my top six favorite franchises.  Give me new console version of Okami and LBP, and I'll be in gaming heaven!

(Though LBP is still great as is.   It doesn't really need a sequel.  But you get my point!)

New Demon's Souls? Never heard of that one. I'd be in gaming heaven if VC2 was ported to ps3 and KZ3 was simply announced.
