Forums - Gaming - wii vs ps3, GAMES!!! TOP 10 GAMES!!!

Who cares? The Wii is selling because of Wii Sports. And what was Wii Sports average rating? The critics only represent a hardcore point of view which has some blindspots.

To look at it another way: current # of games with 90+ average score:

360: 8

Wii:  4

PS3: 2

Of course if we look at the games with 90+ released in the first year:

Wii:  4

360: 3

PS3: 2

Can we put names/titles next to those numbers?

Leo-J: Of your top-10 list, 7/10 Wii games were exclusives including 5 of the top 6.  In contrast, 7/10 PS3 games are multiplatform, and most of the cross-platform games are better on another platform (COD4 & Oblivion: PC, VF5 & Skate: Xbox 360).

You could, of course, call the remake of Ninja Gaiden a Sony exclusive if you were really desparate, but then you'd also call the remake of RE4 exclusive, I guess.

My point is that the PS3's list benefits from getting Xbox 360 games that were available before the PS3 even came out (like Oblivion) whereas the Wii list has a lot more exclusives.  Earning its score on its own, rather than on the shoulders of other systems and sharing those games with other systems.

I suppose some of that is accurate, of course if you wanted to boil out the inconsistancies you could say that this isn't talking about PS3 vrs. 360, in which case if you take a look at the two, most of those multiplat 360/PS3 games are exclusive, as in the Wii DOESN'T have them. So if were comparing titles wii has that ps3 doesn't, then multi-plats SHOULD be included. As long as its a multi-plat title that can't  be related to the wii it's fair game IMO.

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

Perhaps GBallzack never left. ^_^

Either way, seems like the Wii was the best choice for the Casual consumer who is going to buy less then a game a month, since the Wii has the better top 5. Of course that's just due to Nintendo being the best Developer out there.

It's a shame they are a first party developer... It'd be better off is someone like EA or Ubisoft was in their place, so everyone could enjoy Nintendo games. A lot of people missed some awesome N64 and Gamecube games because they were the losing systems... way more missed games then would of been missed just by missing out on Sony or Microsofts first party development.

Though honsetly, Nintendo isn't my favorite developer, no where close since the NES. I could take or leave the Zelda, Mario etc games. Well aside from Smash Brothers. That's going to rule.

I wouldn't call it hate for sony so much as another way to look at things as "Top 10" is a rather meaningless statistic we use basically because of the way our numbers system works.  I mean why is it top 10 and not 12? Or 7? Or 5?

While 90%+ Is similar in that...  It's slightly different as it's generally seen as 9+ = real good critically acclaimed game.  The numbers mean something.
