Forums - Gaming - Assassin's Creed: Basic Gameplay help

Ok, so I've been playing this game for an hour or so and I have some questions some of you will definitely know.

1. The banners, are these unique to a mission or to an area and are they merely a side quest?

2. Am I supposed to attack and kill guards or remain largely unnoticed? I'm assuming based on the 'rules' of the brotherhood I am supposed to only kill the crusaders (as they appear to be a side quest as well) and my actual targets.

3. Will I ever get any special time with that female doctor? She's a cutie.

1. The banners are merely a side quest. There are different types of banners that can be collected, each type being unique to a certain area or city. Side quests show up as blue bars in each memory sequence (where as main tasks or missions show up in white).

2. Depends on how you want to play it. I mainly avoided the guards and only took them out to save some of the towns people (optional quest), or when they were in the way.

3. Just you wait ;)

1. They're side quests.
2. You generally only kill the crusaders (side quest) or your main targets, I used to spend a lot of time on rooftops getting seen then charging quickly to where I wanted to be and hiding to save time when travelling between missions.
3. Sort of, why let anyone spoil the story for you.

1.yeah you dont need to collect the banners, i woudnt recommend it since you dont get trophies for it
2.you can kill or not kill whoever you want it doesnt really matter or affect the game
3.gotta play ACII for that =D, part one sucks compared to part 2

ooooh trophies, yeah...

Does this game give you trophies?

EDIT: Just googled it, yeah no trophies in game at all. Ah well, I generally play for 100% completion anyways and I never had trophies before.

Actually, if you kill innocent people you lose memory synchronization (health).

Unfortunately this game came out before the trophy system was implemented. Assassin's Creed 2, however, does have trophies.
