Just goes to show how the 360 audience is mostly casual gamers....

Have you ever played a music rhythm game? Like GH or DDR? The point of buying the next game is for more songs. We play the heck out of GH2 for a month or so...after a while, you don't feel like playing Free Bird or Thunderhorse...AGAIN. The new games are for new songs. And for PS2 and 360 owners, they can just buy the game alone, without a controller, since they've already got it. |
Yeah, we had one called "Dance UK". Every once in a while we busted it out, played a few songs, had some fun, and then that was it. We never bought another one because they were exactly the same, just with new songs. We never really played it often enough to get sick of the songs.
I imagine that many PS2 Guitar Hero owners are the same.
EDIT: If you just want lots of songs, download Frets on Fire and plug in your 360 controller. Unlimited songs!
Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!
Welp, the NPD numbers prove that a third party title can do great on the Wii. It's too bad we don't know which version had the highest revenue, but I'm guessing it could be the Wii since it was only available with the guitar.
