Build your own and you can make a good one for around $1000 (Using stuff from previous PC anyhow) :)

Can you use a screwdriver?  Plug in a toaster?  Then you sir, can build a PC.

Tiny hands helps a lot, but the hardest thing (for me anyhow) is getting those stupid CPU fans on sometimes.
